Intentional Training
We are intentional in our training, incorporating some of the best techniques and methods used in the industry. How puppies are raised and trained during the first 8 weeks of their lives makes a huge difference in their future. We are intentional in the way we raise and train our puppies starting from the first day they are born.
Puppies go through various stages of training. The early days include ENS and ESI protocols, which are proven to make puppies stronger, healthier, more confident and to overall have better temperaments and be more adaptive to change throughout their lives. Thereafter, we work on socialization protocols, which are crucial to creating perfect companion dogs. We are intentional with the way we handle, socialize, and play with our puppies to help them learn that people, dogs, and various situations that they encounter in the world are safe.
Early socialization work is also crucial in creating perfect companion dogs. We are intentional in the way that we expose the puppies to various people, animals, and situations. Our goal is to create confident puppies that are not afraid and that can be a confident companion to their human in any future situation.
Finally, in our final days with the puppies, we work on basic obedience training and crate training.
Health
All of our parent dogs have been DNA and genetically tested to ensure that we are breeding healthy puppies. Puppies come with a two (2) year health contract that covers various genetic conditions. They are also examined by a licensed American veterinarian and receive their first set of vaccinations by week 6.
Additionally, puppies are raised in a clean environment. We spend about 4 hours a day cleaning their environment, and as they grow and their needs change, their puppy room is adjusted. They learn early on that there are designated spaces for sleeping, eating, going potty, and playing. In fact, these designated spaces make it easier to begin the potty training process at approximately 3 weeks of age.
We keep our puppies physically clean and establish good grooming skills early on. Puppies are bathed, brushed, and dried regularly. They also get their nails trimmed, eye hairs trimmed, and receive sanitary shaves.
Family Connections
We are committed to the long-term success of our puppies. We believe this is best accomplished not only by the work we do in raising and training our puppies, but also by educating and preparing our families before their puppy goes home.
On the day that families choose their puppy, we spend approximately one hour with them discussing the temperament and behavior of each puppy and answering any questions they may have.
On the day that families pick up their puppy, we spend another hour or so providing families with lots of information regarding the puppy's health and how to continue socialization and enrichment activities along with basic obedience tips. We also send families home with a kit filled with food, treats, and toys to better help the puppy transition to their new home.
When you join our puppy family, you are joining our amazing community of other puppy families. Many of our families enjoy staying connected with each other, organizing puppy play dates or sharing pictures of the siblings. We love our community of families, and we are grateful that we get to stay in touch and see the updates of the pups as they grow up!
