Swim Lessons

Once pups are around 7-8 weeks old, we introduce them to the water! We have so much fun watching their natural swim instincts kick in. Of course, each pup has their own personality. Some pups love the water, while others simply want to hang poolside.

Did you know...

Standard Poodles are natural swimmers and were originally bred as water retrievers in Germany. Some have even been trained to be water rescue animals! The name "poodle" comes from the German word pfudel, which means "puddle" or "to splash." The poodle coat was finessed to be water-resistant, curly, and quick drying.

Our F1b goldendoodles have 75 percent of the Standard Poodle gene and 25 percent of the Golden Retriever gene, making them great natural swimmers.
